Praying Over Your Children

Children are a blessing and a gift for GOD! They come into this world on an assignment: however, the enemy will try to hurt them at a young age before they can discover the potential that’s placed inside of them! Why do you think so many children are molested or bullied young? Because the enemy will try to destroy them before they are able to discover who GOD called them to be and do.

The enemy will use bullies, molestation, abuse, absence of a parent, or even sexual identity confusion or other destructive spirits he can use. Even more, it amazes me how the enemy will use other people to try to destroy a child, especially those who are anointed, appointed, chosen, and called to be generational curse breakers. However, if guided and taught correctly, they will be able to leverage those attacks and be a complete threat to the devil.

Moreover, when the enemy and people have a problem or are jealous of a parent, they attack the seed to get to the parents. For example, why is a 5-year-old experiencing hate from people because people have an issue with their parents? Sadly, parents pass that same demonic spirit around to their children. Now a child is being bullied because of what the bully heard their parents say! It’s just sad that some parents must cover and protect even more because of the envy and hate in others because their child is appointed and anointed by GOD.

We are living in a time where we must protect our children from this dark world, and the only way we can do that is by the blood of JESUS. We must protect our children by teaching and training them in the ways of the Kingdom. Teach them how to war and speak GOD’Ss Word. The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it: (Proverbs 22:6). This is important be parents, grandparents, or guardians won’t be around forever. Our child has to grow. If they are taught to have a solid foundation in GOD and build on that through prayer and scripture, nothing they have to endure, whether as a child or as an adult, can stop them.

As a parent, we want to protect our children from every hurt, every setback, and every failure but the truth of the matter is we can’t, but we can protect them as best as we can by praying and fasting over them, reading scriptures. Please find scriptures to read and pray over your children! If there are additional scriptures you would like to share, please comment below!

Father GOD, I pray my child discovers who they are in Christ!

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).

Father GOD, I pray my child loves you with their heart, soul, and mind.

“And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind’” (Matthew 22:37).

Father GOD, I pray my child listens to you when you are instructing and disciplining them.

“For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives” (Hebrews 12:6).

Father GOD, I pray my child loves others out of the love given from you, especially those who have hurt them.

Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you” (Luke 6:27-28).

Father GOD, I pray my child forgives those who have wronged them; and forgive themselves when they make a mistake.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32).

Father GOD, I pray my child understands they are healed before any sicknesses or diseases touch their body, mind, or soul.

“Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains (of punishment)… And with the stripes (that wounded) Him we are healed and made whole” (Isaiah 53:4-5).

Father GOD, I pray my child knows that when they feel down at their lowest, you are very close to them.

“The Lord is close to those brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).
