The Bible says, “So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of GOD.” (1 Corinthians 10:31). As I believe it’s crucial to be cognitive of the food we consume since our bodies are the temples of GOD (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). By honoring GOD with our bodies through what we consume, we can be empowered physically, mentally, and emotionally to become the best version of ourselves.
Many healthy foods can boost happiness by releasing certain nutrients into our bodies, which directly affect how we live each day and interact daily as believers. These consist of fruits and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains, and healthy fats. Eating a well-balanced meal that consists of these healthy foods can help to improve mood and energy levels and can also help to reduce stress and anxiety while at the same time helping you feel at your best physically and mentally. Additionally, regular exercise and plenty of rest can also help to improve one’s overall sense of well-being. Taking care of our temples and minds is important to be better prepared to serve and support others.
Whether or not we realize it, the food we eat affects us significantly. There is a saying, “You are what you eat.” That is so true. Our nutrition affects our mood, temperament, behavior, mindset, etc. Having an unbalanced and unhealthy meal will make you feel and live unbalanced.
