If having 10 cars or 10 houses means success to you, it doesn’t cancel the fact that you are the cars. Also, you’re not the houses. At best, you can only drive a car or sleep in a room at a time.
External success that is tied to things only raises your “status” of which you’re not.
Whatever success means to you, ensure it doesn’t violate the right of others. This is important because every “normal” human being has the tendency to feel intimidated by the success of other people. Especially people we feel we’re more qualified than.
Unless you have worked on your self esteem by submitting to God, you will likely feel like a failure when others are succeeding.
It is ingrained in the human nature. John the Baptist the forerunner of Jesus was offended at a point for the exploits of His Saviour.
Do not think you are exempted from this tendency of envy and jealousy until your mindset about yourself, life, people, and God has been transformed.
It is easier desiring to be celebrated than wanting to celebrate others.
It is easier hoping to be on the spotlight than giving up our so-called privileges for others to rise above us.
In every human is an iota of greed and a touch of selfishness that only God’s grace can kill.
This isn’t the time to get angry because others are doing better than you.
It is time to embrace the truth that the sky is wide enough for everyone to soar in victory.
You should never make others feel they’re failures when you have succeeded at something significant.
Also, do not allow the success of others make you feel like a failure.
Beyond the turning wheel of life, success in itself is an event that is entirely different from you as a person.
In my opinion, success should first become an internal victory on our character before we attribute it to THINGS or WHAT we do.
Success without self-control or discipline is dangerous.
Be successful first in your character with yourself. Be successful in your walk with God.
Then, succeeding in your relationship with others becomes a seamless experience.
May God help us.
