However, as you continue to examine, many gifted and talented people are not anointed. The anointing is GOD’S stamp of His doing and approval that distinguishes one person from others who are talented. Furthermore, the anointing of GOD gives one the ability to produce and serve GOD in a way that would allow GOD to be glorified. The anointing of GOD announces that GOD is present in and on that person’s gift. Many people can sing, but not every singer is anointed. Many people can dance, but not every dancer is anointed. Many people can write, but not every writer is anointed. Many can teach, but every teacher is not anointed. Many can preach, but not every preacher is anointed.
However, when examining the deposit and history of Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood, it’s evident he is called, chosen, and anointed by GOD to do the works of the Kingdom of GOD. Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood is affectionately known as the “Father of Possibleology and Possibility Education Awareness.” Furthermore, he is a pastor, educator, author, renowned speaker, and entrepreneur. He resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was born in Marion, Alabama, and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood, from his early stages of life, was anointed to do the works of the Kingdom and make a sustainable difference in the lives of humanity from being on the football team and cheer team and being youth mayor of Fort Wayne for the day.

Dr. Nelson Dowdell- Underwood is the founder of the Destiny Dome Embassy at Cathedral of Praise Ministries, GOD’S I Am POSSIBLE CHURCH OF HOPE. He is also the founder, headmaster, and president of Cornerstone Christian Prep Day and High School International (C-Prep), and Cornerstone Christian Bible College International – Global (CCBCI-Global), GOD’S I AM POSSIBLE SCHOOL OF HOPE).
His life and works show that GOD anointed Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood. It took an anointed educator to make history in 1977, becoming Indiana’s first African American teacher of the year and Nominee for national teacher of the year. Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood once said, “History shows and records the movements of GOD.” Hence, to see the movements of GOD throughout the life of Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood has been inspiring. For example, he left his successful career in suburban education to become principal at Ralph J. Bunche Elementary School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a result of implementing “The Underwood Model,” the school’s test scores increased dramatically at every grade level within one-two years in the school’s history. In addition to the many programs established under his leadership at Bunche Elementary School, Dr. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood also embodied HOPE so that not only the students, but their parents would know that “they matter.”
He left his principalship at Ralph J. Bunche Elementary School to found C-Prep in 1991, where he is still educating and making history. As the founder, headmaster, and superintendent, Dr. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood founded the school on the principles and the belief that every student can learn and succeed, which is codified by GOD, Scripture, and Science. Through Dr. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood’s teaching, commitment, and passion, the students and staff at C-Prep are taught the awareness of the limitless possibilities and greatness that GOD placed in them to be the solution-oriented Global Leaders that this world so badly needs. The outline of his methodologies and principles stems from His books, Assassination of Human Potential, Bumble Bees Can Fly Books 1 &2, and Burden of Hope & Collegiate Black Men.
The anointing that resides on Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowell-Underwood cannot be duplicated and has caused him to be recognized through many honors, achievements, and recognitions, in addition to being named the first African American Indiana Teacher of the Year and a National Teacher of the Year nominee in 1977, as well as being named Indiana State Businessman of the Year in 1998. Dr. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood also testified before the United States Congressional Committee on Small Businesses. He received the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction Award from the National Society of High School Scholars in 2018. In 2022, he introduced Former Vice-President Mike Pence at the GOP Reagan Bean Dinner to highlight a few of Dr. Underwood’s honors and achievements.
In addition to his passion for serving humanity for over 50 years, Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood has also dedicated himself to serving humanity in various ways in order for them to discover the possibilities that God has placed within them. As the “Father of Possibility Education Awareness” and “The Father of Possibleology, Dr. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood has shown humanity what it looks like when the anointing is resting on the gift that produces extraordinary results.
