A source of Inspiration. A beacon of hope. A light of possibility. An extraordinary young man who stands as a beacon of hope and perseverance describes Jessie—destined to break generational curses and shine the light of Christ in a world yearning for hope. Jessie is a testament to the one who desires to do great things regardless of what He has to face. Set aside by GOD for great and mighty deeds, his journey is a powerful narrative of perseverance and unwavering commitment to glorifying our Lord. With a heart dedicated to serving others and a spirit fueled by unshakable faith, he is poised to impact the world profoundly. Jessie is a graduate of 2024 from Cornerstone Christian College Prep Day and High, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, founded by Dr. Oscar J. Nelson Dowdell-Underwood. Jessie has attended Cornerstone Christian College Prep Day and High School for the last two years due to Anointed Technology. Through Anointed Technology, C-Prep implemented the C-Prep Cyber Campus, allowing Jessie and his cohorts in the Philippines to receive the same GOD-Class Excellence Education as the students on C-Prep’s Physical Campus.
Leticia: Who is Jessie, and how has Anointed Technology allowed you to attend Cornerstone Christian College Prep School?
Jessie: Jessie is an ordinary boy from the Philippines who excels in writing different aspects of words. His dreams guide him in fulfilling a God-Given purpose to open more opportunities. Anointed Technology helped me to attend C-Prep by giving it its free will and use so that we could connect even from a thousand-mile distance. It is with great honor and gratitude that I received God’s gift of anointed technology, which helped me be in a school where it all happens.
Leticia: How has Anointed Technology caused you to self-discover and activate your possibleness so that you can make a difference in life after C-Prep?
Jessie: When discussing Anointed Technology, its purpose can be subjective and objective. It has helped me discover who I am by activating the possibility of attending C-Prep with my whole heart and determination. Again, I know that fully embracing this anointed gift from God can help fuel the fire inside me and make a difference even after leaving C-Prep.
Leticia: What would have happened to me if GOD had not given C-Prep the Grace of Anointed Technology?
Jessie: If God had not given C-Prep the Grace of Anointed Technology, my life would have scrambled and scattered all around the place. It would not be able to help me ace and fully accept the purpose and dream that God has bestowed on me; it plays a big and crucial role in each of us.
Leticia: What has your experience been like at C-Prep?
Jessie: My experience here in C-Prep is like magic; it can’t be described by words, even the most profound word with the deepest meaning. C-Prep has been a home for me for the past two years of my life. It taught me how to be grateful and has molded me into who I am now: typing. It landed on my feet last August 2022, and it will fly away from me this coming June 2024 in the span of two years; it gives me nothing but God and his real purpose in my life.
Leticia: How is C-Prep different from your previous school in the Philippines?
Jessie: C-Prep has its own standard that sets it apart from any other school in the world. It is different from my previous school here because it is not a God-Centered school that aims to change the life of every youth that’s in it; secondly, C-Prep is a small school with a big perspective and a big dream for every student, that’s why teaching here is clinical and so professional.
Leticia: What has been your greatest life lesson from Dr. Oscar Nelson Dowdell-Underwood?
Jessie: Dr. Underwood, for 33 years, has been a consistent and great professor. His teaching lasts, and his words grant. I could not count how many times Dr. Underwood gave me a life lesson that will indeed bless and change how I think and face every problem. But one thing’s for sure: I will always remember when he told us never to apologize for being great and excellent. Even here in the Philippines, studying for college, I will never forget that phrase. No smoke, but no one will top Dr. Underwood. I remember reading an article from BlackNews Magazine with the phrase, “In 1977, Dr. Oscar Nelson Dowdell-Underwood made history as the first African American Indiana Teacher of the Year and Nominee for National Teacher of the Year.” G.O.A.T. indeed!
Leticia: What obstacles or challenges have you faced during high school, and how did you overcome them?
Jessie: Learning for more than two years has not been a smooth and easy ride for me, as I faced tough battles that needed a decision quickly. Setbacks and failures are not easy to counter, as I am lost just thinking of them. Like how I try to sit in silence with my laptop on while our house is in chaos with misunderstandings that lead to shouting and my mother crying, how I pray to God as I worry about how I will attend class every night with no money on my pocket, how I saw myself slowly losing the grip to hold on for one more year. I pity my mom for working hard all day to give me what I asked for to attend class and start the day with “here” and end it with a “bye.” It’s not easy, and I do not want to be seen with that condition; how, as a tough man, I cry every time I see my father getting hospitalized with no one to support us financially. I prayed so hard, ending up having money just enough for the hospital bills, and as a child, the only help I think those days was not to try to ask for my class funds. And by prayer, I would say, and by believing in God, I am able to overcome all of this.
Leticia: What have you learned about yourself while being at C-Prep?
Jessie: While being at C-Prep, I learned that I am Jessie. It’s too extravagant to tackle but let me start by saying that while in C-Prep, I realized I am Jessie, the kid who began with simple dreams, a fun and lovable kid. I am one of those kids who doesn’t ask for too much because I know how to be grateful for what I have. I am Jessie, and I excel in worshipping God and writing. I credit C-Prep, especially these past two months, for returning that kid!
Leticia: What about C-Prep grabbed your attention and heart and made you want to attend?
Jessie: It’s all about the subjects. The number of lessons I will absorb and learn from more than 30 subjects is a fantastic school. The first time I saw it, it attracted me to be elusive and more determined to attend here and decide to start my college journey and preparation in a small school!
Leticia: How has being connected to C-Prep changed how you see yourself, GOD, and your future?
Jessie: This has been an excellent experience for me here in C-Prep to gain everything we need to dominate. It is also crucial to elevate this knowledge to a more critical state to expectorate a more orderly and stabilized stand. It is beneficial because it can absorb a profound change of perspective and sacrifice. After all, in the profusion of intermediate opinions, you must be more demanding, vocal, and transparent to interpolate a difference and impact, just like Langston Hughes did. So, it’s a pleasure to have listened to these kinds of words that slice a hindrance for a more united world without walls. God said it’s not about how many times I got beaten up or fell; it’s about how many times I will stand up to make an order out of chaos. Despite my downfall, I thank God for C-Prep, which has molded me into a stronger and more consistent leader. It’s like a question in College Grammar: which C-Prep is the subject, but what are the objectives? It’s God, the staff, the students, and The I AM POSSIBLE, in CHRIST that separates C-Prep from other schools. My school has this innate quality of being empathetic and elaborative, a firm hold on God, and an open source of dream-making Inspirations. Cyber of Physical, once you are in C-Prep, be careful. Success is running after you. Thank God for C-Prep. I will finish strong and strive for more in life.
