I Can Do All Things

I found myself alone, shattered, and broken. Life had lost its meaning; loneliness, fear, and failure were my companions. After twenty-one years of marriage bliss and the highs and lows of pastoral and mission’s ministry, along came a traumatic divorce. I was devastated and not thinking straight; a foolish decision, but I rushed into another marriage on the rebound, which turned out to be totally toxic, ending up in another divorce after only sixteen months, leaving me with a shredded heart.

Tearfully I cried out to God, What now? How can I find peace and healing?  A still, small voice in my spirit said, “Start writing.” So, I began my writing career with inspiration from above. Shortly thereafter, I saw this anonymous quote in a shop window, “Writing warms the soul and mends the heart.” I have found this to be true in my own life.

So, I began writing without experience but with the knowledge of this scripture verse, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13).  This verse encourages and motivates that in and through Christ we not only have the ability to accomplish what we want, but He also enables us to endure trials and hardships.

It was in July 2016 that I started writing. In July 2017, I completed my first book. Yes! It was a difficult time for me, dealing with heartache and raw emotions, but the time spent waiting upon the Lord, writing, and doing research was a time of healing and growing.

On a train trip one day, I was sharing my testimony with a stranger, to whom I gave a book. This meeting led to God opening many doors for me to preach by invitation at churches and do radio marketing promotions giving the book exposure.

I currently have two books on Amazon Kdp, a completed manuscript going to print, and am busy on a trilogy series on persecution.

This success would never have been attained without God working in and through my life. All the glory, honor, and praise be to Him.

In 2021 I almost died from Covid and chronic related diseases which developed as a result of Covid. Today I am also visually impaired but still writing.

I would like to conclude this article with this verse; “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11
